Severe Heat

Severe heat registers lowest at 110°F and our very angry planet is far beyond this extreme. Human-caused climate change is pushing our globe to the breaking point. Severe heat statistics recording began in the late 1800’s. Our civilization is a Millenia-and-a-half away from that calendar marker and we still haven’t learned.

Generation ahead are going to have to adapt to rising sea levels inland as far as 100 miles. Major coastal cities will go the way of Atlantis. Finding any striped or spotted species existing today will be like looking for the dodo bird. I’m sure alligators will still be around, just more likely in northern Alabama. (Roll Tide Gators!)

Individuals are doing the best they can to cut emissions, now it’s time for us to get our major corporations in on it. Even if we found another planet today humans could thrive on, we’ll never see that surface. Until then, our current population needs to preserve the floating wet rock we’re on so our kids’ kids can check out the new neighbor. Can’t we just get along?
